.The 2019 Sutton on Sea Christmas event took place on Friday the 13th of December. It was a cold, damp day but the locals still turned out to see Santa, browse the market and enjoy the entertainment and Christmas Spirit.
The market was moved to the High Street this year for better accessibility. There were also stalls for local charities and groups, roasted chestnuts as well as pony rides, balloons, light up toys and a face painter for the children. Coastal FM provided the music alongside carol singing. Dr Foster from Australia visited us with Dougy the Dinosaur. Santa, Mrs Claus and their elves gave out presents to the children in the Grotto alongside the Elf and Safety Station.
Despite the weather it was another successful staging of this long running event. Well done to the Rotary Club of Alford and Mablethorpe and the CCC volunteers.
