.This annual event takes place at Galley Hill Farm Fruits, a pick your own fruit business at Saleby near Alford. It is growing bigger every year and 2019 was a great success with mild weather and a great turnout.
The fruit picking was open during the event – an activity enjoyed by all ages. There was a bouncy castle, face painting and hands-on pottery class for the kids as well as a demonstration of wood carving using a chainsaw. Local produce, plants and quality crafts were available on the many stalls as well as the money raising raffle and prize draw. There was plenty to eat and drink including a bar run by the Louth Young Farmers, Hog Roast, tea and cake and Farmer Brown’s ice cream.
Well what a day, truly overwhelmed by the support we received yesterday. Our 6th and biggest Strawberry Fayre was an amazing success. Over £4000 raised so far for Lincolnshire Marie Curie. Would not be possible without our dream team, stall holders, helpers, friends, neighbours and of course customers. Thank you.
