The Jolly Sailor Inn Photo – Proprietors, Mr. Tom and Mrs. Maria Jane Wilkinson with daughter, Mrs. Fanny Portas. This hostelry was run by the family for 99 years.

Coastline Map – This map shows Wainfleet to be on the coast in the 16th Century when it was an important port. Wool and grain were shipped out from here. The Romans had built a road from Lincoln to Burgh le Marsh with a link to their fort at Skegness and the signal station at Ingoldmells Point.
