CLIP Mablethorpe, a cornerstone of community engagement, is thrilled to announce its upcoming Bake Off event on November 27, 2023, at the CLIP Mablethorpe Cafe, situated on Seacroft Road, Mablethorpe. This fun and friendly event will start at 10:00 AM, with the judging scheduled for 12 noon. It’s open to all baking enthusiasts in the local area, encouraging both on-site and home bakers to showcase their skills and creativity.
Becky Shaw, Experience and Engagement Officer at CLIP, shares her enthusiasm for the event, saying, “The Bake Off at CLIP Mablethorpe is not just a baking competition; it’s a celebration of our community spirit! We welcome everyone, from novice bakers to seasoned cake makers, to join us for a morning of fun, learning, and friendly competition.
We have two competitions, one where you can bake at home and bring in your creation to the café, or you can choose to bake with us at the café.”
Mablethorpe CLIP offers a range of learning opportunities for the community, such as Flare for 16-18 year-olds, as well as a range of accredited and non-accredited courses for adults. There’s also a Wellbeing Hub, offering sessions like Keep on Movin’ and Memory Cafe, also providing warm spaces for the community.
The Bake Off will take place at the CLIP Mablethorpe Cafe, Seacroft Road, Mablethorpe on November the 27th. Baking starts at 10am, with judging at 12 noon.
Participants in the “Star Baker” category can bake simple treats on-site with the CLIP Cafe team (ingredients provided). Alternatively, come along at 12 for the judging with your home baked creation to enter the “Star Home Baker” category. Prizes will be awarded for both.
This ‘Bake Off’ event isn’t just about delicious treats; it’s also an opportunity to learn about accurate weights, cooking times, and the art of cutting cakes into fractions. It promises to be a fun and educational experience for bakers of all skill levels.
The Bake Off at CLIP Mablethorpe is free to attend, inviting the entire community to join in the baking fun and festivities.
